IMMUNO-ONCOLOGY
For immuno-oncology research, KINETO Lab established in vitro and in vivo models in order to study immunological aspects of cancer
IN VITRO IMMUNO-ONCOLOGY MODELS
Antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC)
assays with fresh immune cells where an immune mechanism through which Fc receptor-bearing effector cells, such as Natural Killer (NK) lymphocytes, can recognize, bind and kill antibody-coated target cells expressing tumor- or pathogen-derived antigens on their surface
Co-culture with immune cells
to evaluate respond of cancer cells in presence of immune cells
Antibody attachment methods for flow cytometry
to show whether your compound helps or inhibits antibody binding
IN VIVO IMMUNO-ONCOLOGY MODELS
Mouse-on-mouse (allograft) models
for the investigation of the complete murine immune system targets
Human-on-mouse (xenograft) models
NK cell and macrophage activity
for human specific targets we can map NK cell and macrophage activity in the strains of mice with different level of immune system suppression (SCID has both NK and macrophage activity, NOD-SCID has only functional macrophages, while NSG lacks both). Thus, immune cell-related reactions can be identified
NK inhibitor or macrophage inhibitor application
in order to check their influence on drug activity, when used in SCID model, can delineate the role of NK cells and macrophages, elucidating their importance in therapy efficacy studies
